Cuckoo Crash

Once upon a time there was a cuckoo who did his job perfectly every hour. But one time at exactly twelve o'clock it went wrong: he fell. At this moment he has to find the way back up in order to fulfill his duty, and you can help him with that. But pay attention: the clock is still ticking, time will kill you. In addition,  the cuckoo is a wind-up bird and has to be winded up every 14 seconds, you can do this at the respawn points.

Good luck!

The visual design is beautiful, but the mechanics don't mesh very well. The timer feels a bit arbitrary, as you have such limited control over the character that it's not really speed-dependant. And that means that the level designs either make the timer irrelevant or just unfair if it slows you down right as you've got to the end. The point is that the gameplay challenge is click-jumping at the right moments, which doesn't really have anything to do with racing against the clock in the way you've designed it.

On all levels with moving things or blinking platforms, it seems like it would make sense if player death reset the level to the same starting state. It feels frustrating when you're stuck in a bad cycle and have to try to kill yourself at the right time to get into a good cycle so you can actually finish the level. Other games with this sort of mechanic are much more deterministic.

Really amazing art, music and sound effects! The core mechanic is a lot of fun, although sometimes it seems a bit like a dice roll, considering the low agency on the movement and the inevitable moving platforms and such.

Lot's of fun, congrats on this game!

How to pass the first level, I tried to climb to the top in 15 minutes, but this gear cannot be passed

right after I wrote - I did it.

Really good and awesome idea, but the Level Design is often very frustrating. The rythm seems to be a bit weird as well.I also would have wished that you play a bit more with the time mechanic, I usually only died because of the jump and run and the timer doesnt really effect you much.

However, this game looks really good and the idea keeps you interested. With more Levels and more polish I would even pay money for it

Good, but I'm too slow and dumb to finish 3rd (or 4th) level...

Really nice gameplay and splendid art direction. Lot of fun, congrats !
